Ulix Grand Nord

Ulix Grand Nord is a company that is part of the Ulix Group holding.

We are a freight forwarder and customs broker with our own client base. We are a small structure, with 9 people comprising a commercial team, an operations team, a customs team, and accounting, based in Le Havre.

We provide our clients with a privileged partner in maritime and air logistics, ensuring the smooth transportation of goods from origin to destination while optimizing processes and seeking continuous improvement opportunities.

What are the customs challenges and issues at SISA?

At the beginning, our main challenge was to save time on customs information searches. We had to juggle between our software and multiple web pages to perform RITA searches, which was very time-consuming, especially for a small team of only two people in the customs department.

Over time, our needs evolved. In addition to daily management, we also had to advise our clients on customs matters, especially regarding new regulations like the MACF. This required performing extractions, having a clear view of removed classifications, etc.

It was therefore essential to find a solution capable of meeting all these requirements.

How did you learn about CustomsBridge and/or the okiduty solution, and what did you like about it?

We discovered CustomsBridge and the Okiduty solution during the Meet Up organized by Soget in November 2022. It was on this occasion that we met Charles Devaux, the co-founder of CustomsBridge, who introduced us to the startup and the Okiduty solution.

What immediately appealed to us was the ease of use of the tool, its intuitive interface, as well as the time-saving and accuracy it offers.

Why did you subscribe to the okiduty solution? What do you think are the added values of this tool, and what are the benefits of its use in your business/profession?

We initially opted for a one-month trial to test what the Okiduty solution could offer us. Quickly, it became clear that this tool would allow us to save time and increase productivity.

Okiduty brings all the necessary tools together on a single platform: search for duty and tax rates, management of classifications, consultation of BTIs, etc. This allows us to efficiently meet our clients’ needs while optimizing our searches and response times.

With the new regulations that regularly emerge, we needed an application capable of centralizing everything on one interface. It was this versatility that convinced us. Thanks to Okiduty, we can perform all our tasks, from customs declarations to searches, without having to switch between applications.

We are not currently using KPIs, so we cannot provide you with any numerical data.

An anecdote? We now use Okiduty exclusively for everything related to our daily tasks as customs declarants! Simple, fast, and efficient!
